Hey there everyone! Today I’m sharing this amazing Focaccia Bread recipe. It’s super tasty and definitely a crowd pleaser. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with delicious and flavoursome toppings.

Serving Size: 4-6 people

Yeast Starter

Ingredients

½ tsp Instant Dry Yeast

¼ cup Semolina Flour

80 mℓ Warm Water

Bread Toppings

Ingredients

1 Shallot; sliced

1 cup Plain Flour

3/4 cup Canola Oil

Drizzle of Olive Oil

2-3 sprigs Rosemary

1-2 tsp Chili Flakes

1 tsp Flaky Salt

Bread

Ingredients

3 cups Plain Flour

1 tsp Salt

320 mℓ Water; warm

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Steps

Begin by combining the instant dry yeast, semolina flour and 80 mℓ warm water in a bowl. Cover for 1 hour until thick and foamy.

Slice the shallot and dredge in 1 cup plain flour.

To a pan, add the canola oil. When the oil is hot, fry the shallots until gold and crispy.

In a large bowl, combine the 3 cups of plain flour, salt, semolina mixture, 320 mℓ warm water and olive oil. Cover 2-3 hours/ overnight.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Add in the bread mixture and poke small holes in the bread with your fingers tips.

Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with the fried shallots, rosemary, chili flakes and flaky salt.

Bake 15-20 minutes at 230°C/ 450°F.

Serve and enjoy!
