Mexican Tortillas

Hey there everyone! Today I’m sharing my recipe for Mexican Tortillas. These work well with beef strips, guacamole, tomato salsa and grated cheese! They’re a huge crowd pleaser and your whole family is sure to enjoy.

Serving size: 4-6 people

Ingredients

1 ½ cups Flour

½ tsp Baking Soda

½ tsp Salt

½ cup Water; warm

40 mℓ Vegetable Oil

Steps

Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.

Create a well in the centre of the flour.

Pour the warm water and vegetable oil into the well and mix, slowly bringing in the flour until roughly incorporated.

Continue incorporating the remaining flour into the dough on a clean workbench.

Knead the dough 1-2 minutes, then divide it into 8 pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball and roll it out with a rolling pin until thin.

Cover the tortillas with a cloth for 15 minutes.

Cook the tortilla on a non-stick pan, 1-2 minutes per side, or until brown spots begin to form.

Serve and enjoy!
